Tween Twist : Make your own ice cream

MAKE A DREAM CATCHER THIS FRIDAY!

Join us in the Teen Zone this Friday starting at 3pm to make a beautiful dream catcher.  We will use recycled CDs to create a modern take on a traditional Native American object.

Jack is leaving San Francisco to go live with his aunt and uncle in Hazelwood, Iowa. It would have been nice for Jack to say that it was going to be hard to leave behind the only place he's ever called home, but that would have been a lie. Jack had no friends to say goodby to, no one spoke to him, his parents and older brother rarely acknowledged his existence, it was like he was invisible.

Tween Wii Day - Wednesday February 8th at 3:30pm. For gamers in 3rd-6th grade. Get ready to dance!

Valentine's Day Craft- Tuesday February 14th at 3:30pm. Come make a special something for that special someone. Grades PreK-6th grade.

On Wednesday, January 11th, we were fortunate enough to have the Long Island Children's Museum visit and teach us about the art and life of Willem de Kooning.  Teens used brushes and ink to do blind figure drawings and then used the drawings to create an abstract collage on canvas.  This was such an amazing program!  The artistic talent of our teens really shined!

Good afternoon library fans! A quick note about our Lil' Chef's program on Wednesday, January 25th. This program is intended for children preK-2nd grade as it is mistakenly posted in our newsletter as prek-6th grade. Please register in advance for children up to 2nd grade. Thank you!

Zombie tag requires bravery, sneakiness and endless supply of spatulas. Wil is an expert zombie hunter; he knows exactly how to keep his brain intact and the zombies at bay.He has to since over 30 years ago his twon was overrun by the walking dead. No one knows how the zombies went away, but he's ready to find out. Wil is ready to take on any zombie that might come his way, especially his brother Graham who passed away 6 months ago.
