History
Welcome to the Westbury Memorial Public Library, a community resource located in central Nassau County, Long Island, New York. The main library (affectionately called “The Adult Library”) was opened in 1966. Located next to the historic Children’s Library, it is one of three buildings that form a beautiful complex that surrounds a courtyard. The third building is The Cottage, once the residence of the Children’s librarian, now the home of the Historical Society of the Westburys and a collection of historical archives and artifacts about the area.
