Legos at the Library

Lego builders ages seven and older are invited to take part in the library Lego Club. This session will be held in the Meeting Room.
Luau at the Library

Aloha! Put on your best summer time gear underneath your coat and forget about the winter time blues at our first ever Luau at the library! For children in PreK-6th grade.
Wii Game Day

Gamers big and small, come to the library after school to participate in our Wii Game Day. For children in 3rd-6th grade.
Valentine’s Day Craft

Cupid’s arrow has hit the library! Come and celebrate with us by making a gift for someone special. For children in PreK-6th grade.
Snuggly Sleepover

Come dressed in pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal to our snuggly sleepover! We will be hosting a stuffed animal sleepover party, but don’t worry we’ll take good care of them and we’ll even take pictures of the fun they had while you were away! For children in PreK-2nd grade.
Tween Book Club

We’ll be reading the classic book about a friendly giant, The BFG by Roald Dahl, for this winter session of our tween book club! For children in 4th-6th grade.
Mid-Winter Craft

Come enjoy a craft and spend some time at the library during your winter break! For children in PreK-6th grade.
123 Play With Me
Tuesday Sessions: February 28, March 6, 13, 20, 27, 10:00
Thursday Sessions: March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 10:00
Bring your toddler between the ages of 1, 2 and 3 years old to the meeting room to play and learn, using toys that develop motor skills. There will be a different art activity each week and an expert will be on-hand to answer questions about child rearing. Materials available in English, and Spanish. Pre-registration is required to attend the program; each child can only be signed up for 1 session. A max of 25 children can be registered for each session. Registration begins February 1st.
Circle Time & Toy Center
Fridays, 10:30-11:30
For children ages 6 months to 4 years of age. 15 minutes of songs, finger plays and stories, plus some quiet play time for you to share with your child. Meet other parents and caregivers too!

Spanish Collection
The library is proud of the expansion of its Spanish collection. The Children’s Library contains books for ages ranging from toddlers to 6th graders, including picture books, chapter books and non-fiction books. The Adult Library contains a wide variety of popular fiction, as well as non-fiction books with subjects that include books on religion, health, travel, care giving, citizenship tests and much more. In addition to our collection, we also have Spanish-speaking staff that can suggest materials and answer questions you may have. We look forward to continuing the growth of this collection as well as growing with our community.
Colección en español
La biblioteca está orgullosa de la expansión de su colección de libros en español. La Biblioteca de Niños tiene libros para todas las edades desde un año hasta los niños que cursa el sexto grado. Los libros en la colección incluyen libros ilustrados, libros de capitulo y libros de no ficción. La Biblioteca de Adultos también tiene una variedad de ficción popular y libros de no ficción que incluye libros como de religión, salud, viajar, como criar a los niños, libros para exámenes de ciudadanía y mucho mas. En adición de nuestra colección, también tenemos empleados que hablan español que les pueden ayudar con sus preguntas y recomendar los libros que puedan leer. Esperamos que el desarrollo de nuestra colección continué y también que podamos crecer con nuestra comunidad.
Satellite Library at Park Avenue School
Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30 on school days. Children through 6th grade can come to use our puzzles, games, art materials, get homework help. Westbury library cards can be applied for and renewed. An adult should accompany children under age nine.
