A fiction database that provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles. Includes: Author Read-alikes, What We’re Reading, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists. (For school media specialists and teachers there are Picture Book Extenders and articles on Teaching with Fiction.)

The Twayne Authors Series
Find in list. Twayne World, English, and US Authors each contains the full text of 200 frequently used Twayne Literary Masters books on individual World, US, or English authors, for a total of 600 individual full-text titles.

netLibrary eBooks
Titles on subjects ranging from the arts, history, literature, religion, and science, to sociology, business, and technology. Advance registration, in person at the Library, with your Westbury Library card, is necessary to set up your account to use e-books in the netLibrary collection.

Novelist K-8
NoveList K-8 allows you to discover the fiction titles that are popular with young readers as well as titles to use in the classroom. The NoveList Learning Center provides a complete introduction and shows you how to use NoveList to meet the reading needs of students.

Online Catalog

Look for items in Nassau County Libraries. In addition to browsing the catalog, by clicking on "My Account" and entering your name, Westbury Library card number (no spaces) and pin number (last four digits of your phone number) you can access your account and renew and place requests for certain items online. (The first time you do this, the submit screen will pop-up a second time and you will have to enter your pin and enter it again below to verify.)

NOTE: If you have a Westbury Library card you can view your library card account information. If your card is in-good-standing renew and place requests for certain titles from the catalog online! Read all on-screen notes and follow the instructions carefully. You will need to enter your barcode number (no spaces) and your pin number. The first time you do this, the submit screen will pop-up a second time and you will have to enter your pin and enter it again below to verify. If you have any problem accessing your account please bring your Westbury card and ID to the Library.

Please remember that certain items cannot be renewed and that fines accrue in a normal manner on items that are renewed late or returned late. Certain items may be unavailable to fill your request and some items will fill your request only if owned by your home library.
