Is provided by the New York State Library and connects New Yorkers to 21st century information. NOVELNY is supported with temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The New York Knowledge Initiative is a proposal for permanent state funding for NOVELNY (NOVEL requires the use of your library card number or your New York State Driver License or DMV Non-Driver Photo ID Number - The State Library has worked with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles to offer this option. To ensure user privacy, no records of the access will be stored on the State Library's server or the user's computer or attached to any individual's driver license or non-driver photo ID information).
